Emotional Landscapes
Ceramic tiles are continuation of a series of drawings made using graphic methods. It is a part of my graduation work. Tiles are made with the use of various type of clay: red and white chamotte, red Baranowska clay and porcelain. I used also bright and transparent ceramic glaze, oxides and other methods of firing of ceramic, so that I could achieve some special clolour effects. Drawing on tiles is made through imprinting of linocut matrix; it results in a special kind of combination of graphic and ceramic. Each work was signified with sign and date (AK,’10), sometimes with a label. These project came to an end thanks to patience and help of some ceramists who were alway very open and ehtusiastic about my ideas.
